Börje Bergfelt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 72 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ed 冯义南 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 77 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Bergfelt came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
