Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Holger Zachrisson came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Portuguesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Holger Zachrisson couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, 任浩默 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portuguesa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Portuguesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. 任浩默 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. Jorginho Vaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Holger Zachrisson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jorginho Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Holger Zachrisson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 任浩默 was the one to do the kick off. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jorginho Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 67 in the game by Agustín Saelices from a close distance when the talented Jorginho Vaz managed to make a qualified save. Portuguesa's players were relieved. In the 68th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goalkeeper Jorginho Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portuguesa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorginho Vaz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jorginho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 任浩默 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Portuguesa and deserved their victory. The Portuguesa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
