In the 19th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Xande Buffon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Xandinho Kane struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Joinville - FSCMZ. 30 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xandinho Kane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xande Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Xande Buffon. New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Xande Buffon came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Lamine Xande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Xande Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ronaldo Viana hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Xande Buffon in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Xande Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lamine Xande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of play. Xande Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Ronaldo Viana got a free kick in the 59th minute. Xande Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of play. Ronaldo Viana was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Viana to maneuver through the defense. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Robinho de Souza replaced Xande Musiala. After 65 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Viana. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Válbson Schmidt was substituted for Nicolas De la Cruz. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Jacob Santalla sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. Xande Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute of the match. Xande Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ecuador's Felix Montes suffered a sore thigh after 89 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Válbson Schmidt charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Válbson Schmidt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Válbson Schmidt hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Robinho de Souza got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
