When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Rafael Zaldua put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Nereo Raymon. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papulote FC's goalkeeper Nereo Raymon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Jernberg got free with Nereo Raymon in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Arne Stensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. G A I S's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
