Adelino Bastos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Frits Sap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Katowice i Kluczbork. Adelino Bastos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frits Sap firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kaj Skytt hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Arkadiusz Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 17th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Naim Ünal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Katowice i Kluczbork's Arkadiusz Smolarek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 44th minute of play forced Katowice i Kluczbork's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roland Laureys to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Katowice i Kluczbork got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Novais. Katowice i Kluczbork's Arkadiusz Smolarek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Katowice i Kluczbork from getting a goal against them. After having played for 66 minutes, Roland Laureys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Katowice i Kluczbork's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Laureys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Katowice i Kluczbork's Artur Zajonc was substituted for Julian Jaszcz. After a rather tough play, Katowice i Kluczbork's Edson de Lima got a free kick in the 71st minute. Arkadiusz Smolarek made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Naim Ünal sent off a good shot on target. If Alexandrino Sesimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Katowice i Kluczbork's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Smolarek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naim Ünal. Arkadiusz Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute of the match, Trond Hagen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arkadiusz Smolarek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 90th minute, Kaj Skytt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Seyhun Demircan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ÓKINJÔ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Katowice i Kluczbork the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in ÓKINJÔ FC's zone, Edson de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frits Sap came out of the goal and Edson de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
