In the 11th minute Cléber Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Kostka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to G A I S getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Norman Mabalane hit a great ball. FC MARKUS's Arkadiusz Kostka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Juliano in the 15th minute of play. Staffan Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobald Jeziorkowski in the 18th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes FC MARKUS got a freekick which was hit by Lukasz Jaszyna. If Felice Juliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. G A I S's Norman Mabalane got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, FC MARKUS's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Zaldua came free, but Arkadiusz Kostka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiusz Kostka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Fulvio Pantani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulvio Pantani shot from long distance in the 33rd minute, but Staffan Eckegren was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Juliano in the 34th minute of play forced FC MARKUS's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Kostka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felice Juliano got free with Arkadiusz Kostka in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Felice Juliano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arkadiusz Kostka. FC MARKUS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felice Juliano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. G A I S made a substitution. Pontus Ström replaced Sixten Ekström. Arkadiusz Kostka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Zaldua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC MARKUS's zone, Norman Mabalane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arkadiusz Kostka came out of the goal and Norman Mabalane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over G A I S could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC MARKUS throughout the match.
