Matthias Bern was slow to take the kick. During this time G A I S's players had a chance to rest. János Moravecz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Jernberg in the 18th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Wen Bing Liang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but G A I S's Staffan Eckegren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute John Jernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Moravecz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. János Moravecz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Jernberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Wen Bing Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes SÉ SE got a freekick which was hit by Wen Bing Liang. In the 36th match minute, G A I S was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ty Scholes to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Levente Ballai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Staffan Eckegren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alain Gibert kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Celso Sabóia fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SÉ SE's protests and gave Celso Sabóia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Celso Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 53 minutes, Ty Scholes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the G A I S and the SÉ SE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ty Scholes kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Zaldua came free, but János Moravecz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, G A I S's goal looked a bit too open when Attila Pálffy came free, but Staffan Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, SÉ SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Bronkala to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Pálffy in the 75th minute of play forced G A I S's goalkeeper Staffan Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind G A I S's goalkeeper Staffan Eckegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. G A I S's Zavior Moiselo was substituted for Herman Biörkman. In the 78th minute of the match SÉ SE got a corner. G A I S's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Levente Ballai ran over to the corner to take the kick. Attila Pálffy took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Staffan Eckegren. Staffan Eckegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 87th minute, Rafael Zaldua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Staffan Eckegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zalán Ibrahimovic went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Rafael Zaldua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
