Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joel Gaona made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 minutes, Nereo Frederico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.Independiente and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, C.A.Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Frederico to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Heigo Luiga sent off a good shot on target. Heigo Luiga scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Misaki in the 21st minute. 28 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Buford Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match, Gavril Bosioc tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mexico's goalie and right to Heigo Luiga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mexico's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macos Graciani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Ovando charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrosio Ovando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mexico booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buford Lim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Misaki was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buford Lim having to interfere. Heigo Luiga struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Independiente. Buford Lim came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Buford Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona scored 2-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Buford Lim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Quentin Holman replaced Ambrosio Ovando. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. C.A.Independiente's Justino Confesor was substituted for Heigo Luiga. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.A.Independiente's Lisandro Mederi. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Confesor in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
