Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zvonimir Turković kicked off to start the match. Rodrigo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 2nd minute of play. Rodrigo Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. In the 5th minute, Pedro Troglio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Patas Duras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Troglio to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Obano in the 16th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 30th minute of play forced Patas Duras FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Palben hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Montenegro scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rodrigo Velloso could save by the left post. In the 54th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Cristian Sancho played forward. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patas Duras FC made a substitution. Saul Osoro replaced Zvonimir Turković. In the 59th minute Saul Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Osoro in the 63rd minute of play. Rodrigo Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 74 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Patas Duras FC's Rodrigo Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Patas Duras FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rodrigo Velloso to make any attempt to save it. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Saul Osoro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Patas Duras FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
