Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 15th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kalle Askberg. Kalle Askberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sven-Olof Stephansson went to the cornerflag to take it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sundborn IF were victorious despite being under pressure from Chile for much of the match.
