In the 13th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marian Cazacu quite easily take care of the ball. Candido Iaki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diego Idacio was slow to take the kick. During this time Patagonicos FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Diego Idacio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Patagonicos FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Saba Gentiletti hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Patagonicos FC's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Cazacu came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Patagonicos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Marian Cazacu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Cazacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naldo Cerezo to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Cerezo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Naldo Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Cerezo in the 54th minute of the match. Naldo Cerezo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marian Cazacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Patagonicos FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Candido Iaki hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Naldo Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 71 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Patagonicos FC's Marian Cazacu. Marian Cazacu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Patagonicos FC's Ramon Quirce was substituted for Candido Iaki. Primitivo Andino made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naldo Cerezo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramon Quirce kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 97th minute. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Patagonicos FC to leave the ground with a draw.
