The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Guillermo Fontirroig scored 0-3 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manole Hanganu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Cresencio in the 22nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manole Hanganu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alan Tamayo charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Tamayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 28th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Thiago Pliego kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Cristobal Cresencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 37th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Hanganu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, FC Brașov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efe Ehil to maneuver through the defense. Manole Hanganu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Fontirroig in the 40th minute of the match. De-la-Cruz De la Cruz came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thiago Pliego could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, FC Brașov's Edgar Mirciu got a free kick in the 47th minute. FC Brașov's Manole Hanganu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre-Alexandre Helsens was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, FC Brașov's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when De-la-Cruz De la Cruz came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Manole Hanganu in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the match, FC Brașov's goalkeeper Manole Hanganu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Brașov's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. 79 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Alexandre Helsens came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Brașov's goalkeeper Manole Hanganu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Manole Hanganu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. 89 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Alexandre Helsens came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Orlando Casaus in the 93rd minute really tested Manole Hanganu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. In the 96th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Pozo to maneuver through the defense. The FC Brașov supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
