With a little luck, FC Brașov's Manole Hanganu got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xavier Figueroa in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manole Hanganu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Lacasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manole Hanganu. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. FC Brașov's Manole Hanganu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, FC Brașov's goalkeeper Manole Hanganu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Brașov's goalkeeper Manole Hanganu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. De-la-Cruz De la Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Brașov defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manole Hanganu. The FC Brașov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manole Hanganu should have stopped the shot. Thiago Pliego was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Pierre-Alexandre Helsens capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pierre-Alexandre Helsens really showed his touch with that goal: 6-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chile had won after a very even match.
