In the 87th minute Aurel Vuşcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led ARCADA FC's Emilian Achifoaiei to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Hârtopanu in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emilian Achifoaiei was slow to take the kick. During this time ARCADA FC's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ARCADA FC had won after a very even match.
