Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco da Cunha in the 9th minute of play. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Joel Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Adelino Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Samuel Melo got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Emerson Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emerson Paraíba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. Falcão Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Saldanha in the 31st minute of the match. Jumeuc Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Melo took the corner. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Melo was slow to take the kick. During this time Jumeuc Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Jeremias Linhares managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. If Adelino Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

52 minutes into the game, Adelino Saldanha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Adelino Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Francisco da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Falcão Soeiro scored 0-5 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco da Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adelino Saldanha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 83rd minute, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Efrain Moruga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Costa Rica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Efrain Moruga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 83rd minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Samuel Melo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benito Sanz. In the 94th minute of the match Joel Saldanha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Jumeuc Futebol Clube played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
