Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Conny Gudmundsson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Conny Gudmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitko Hadzhiiliev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of play. Vitko Hadzhiiliev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Lionel Haaland notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Gudmundsson in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. Conny Gudmundsson took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Gudmundsson in the 26th minute of play. SPARROWS's Vitko Hadzhiiliev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of SPARROWS booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SPARROWS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
