Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Villa Mitre City's Arsenio Maria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Ponc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of the match. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Mitre City's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Ponc came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Villa Mitre City's Feliciano Fernendo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Mendiko in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Feliciano Fernendo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Fernendo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Ariel Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. When Urbano Mendiko came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Villa Mitre City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Mendiko couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliciano Fernendo to strike the kick off in the second half. Feliciano Fernendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Mauricio Macías's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Feliciano Fernendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Villa Mitre City's Ariel Ponc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Mitre City from getting a goal against them. Ariel Ponc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Fernendo in the 74th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. When Villa Mitre City's Mauricio Macías in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ariel Ponc. That made the score 2-1 in the 82 minute of play. In the 85th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliciano Fernendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Ponc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Villa Mitre City's Ariel Ponc got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ariel Ponc. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
