The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Joaquim Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Adalberto Saldanha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 3-0 in the 20 minute of play. A collision led to Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Juliano Semedo hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Joaquim Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Joaquim Torres took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Joaquim Torres reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adalberto Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Torres's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Leitão in the 55th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Torres went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Camargo having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Torres came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Almiro Lobo in the 72nd minute. The corner led Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010's Almiro Lobo to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joaquim Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederico Camargo made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Aaron Alcocer sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Saldanha in the 84th minute of the match. Juliano Semedo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Joaquim Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Saldanha came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Torres in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010 were the better team. Ladoeiro No RuleZ FC 2010's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
