After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Xavier Zoido got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Botelho came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Araguaia Sport Clube's Ademir Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Pardo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Benjamin das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizão Azevedo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Edvaldo Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araguaia Sport Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Covarrubias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Lira in the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Diego Linhares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Nores showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edvaldo Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Luizão Azevedo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. In the 69th minute, Luizão Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Donatellos short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Jacobo Nores to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gualter Vander was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After recieving a nice pass, Araguaia Sport Clube's Benjamin das Neves tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Araguaia Sport Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Luan Botelho hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edvaldo Donatello went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the game, Ademir Lira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Alan Campos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Alan Campos got a free kick in the 91st minute. Hector Covarrubias took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Carlos Azevedo. José Carlos Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.
