Atlético Villa Gesell's Emilio Admon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Villa Gesell from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute of the match Paraguay got a corner. Atlético Villa Gesell's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atlético Villa Gesell's goalie and right to Alan Campos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atlético Villa Gesell's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 27th minute Isaias Sanduru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético Villa Gesell's Emilio Admon got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilio Admon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 33rd minute of play. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on Paraguay's corner Jaime Pardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Admon quite easily take care of the ball. Jaime Pardo's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Emilio Admon on his right side and into the goal. 35 minutes into the game it was 1-0. 40 minutes into the match, Atlético Villa Gesell's goalkeeper Emilio Admon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Leon Santio's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Santio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Leon Santio hit a great ball. Robustiano Viviano kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Silvio Quintun made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaias Sanduru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Primitivo Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Andres Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Silvio Quintun got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Admon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Nores was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Andres Raymond capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andres Raymond really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Although Paraguay had been in control for most of the match, Atlético Villa Gesell still came away with the win.
