Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Estrela Solitária's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Juan Sebastián Puig managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Benjamim Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandrinho Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Estrela Solitária's Sandrinho Hoffmann in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandrinho Hoffmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's Sandrinho Hoffmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute Chicão Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. Estrela Solitária's Pedro Luiz Ferreira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Primitivo Andino, made in the 46th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Estrela Solitária made a substitution. Gerd Müller replaced Sandrinho Hoffmann. The wind increased when Dudu Meira made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Benjamim Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 55th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Benjamim Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerd Müller in the 57th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Gerd Müller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Primitivo Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Dudu Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Meira. In the 79th minute, Gerd Müller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrela Solitária fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 83 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gerd Müller came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Meira to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Dante acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Felix Montenegro. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamim Dante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Estrela Solitária defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamim Dante. The Estrela Solitária fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamim Dante should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Estrela Solitária could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
