Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roald Fredheim in the 23rd minute of the match. Nils-Arne Hannestad kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Ivan Óbolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sagene IF's Torstein Solli managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 37 minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roald Fredheim. After having played for 43 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sagene IF's Torstein Solli got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillermo Mariano made in the 47th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tomas Illescas. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Roald Fredheim made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjetil-André Garberg having to make a save. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roald Fredheim in the 58th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Kjetil-André Garberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Gabriel Aakre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roald Fredheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Nils-Arne Hannestad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roald Fredheim in the 71st minute of play. After 73 minutes, Nils-Arne Hannestad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sagene IF and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nils-Arne Hannestad hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Sagene IF's Kjetil-André Garberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sagene IF's goalkeeper Kjetil-André Garberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sagene IF's attentive Gabriel Aakre managed to snatch the ball when Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Roald Fredheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Roald Fredheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roald Fredheim in the 93rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
