If Alan Turin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Patricio Costa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ignacio Cresenciano in the 28 minute of the game. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Jaume having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Clodoveo Ignado was slow to take the kick. During this time Garrapatita Futbol's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alfredo Gorri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 82nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Jaume having to interfere. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a Garrapatita Futbol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. The supporters of Garrapatita Futbol booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garrapatita Futbol's Clodoveo Ignado got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
