Gösta Andreasson started the match with the kick off. After 12 minutes, Bengt Arenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС and the U.C.MILÁN players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U.C.MILÁN booed when Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Arenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Ormea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Taibo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Tengelin came free, but Aureo Polloni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureo Polloni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Tengelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Andoni Duarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U.C.MILÁN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Bengt Arenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Sandro Ormea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgilio Taibo in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Gösta Andreasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureo Polloni was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 45 played minutes U.C.MILÁN got a freekick which was hit by Nauzet Cuadros. In the 45th minute of the match Arne Nyman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aureo Polloni skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nauzet Cuadros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Erik Kielstedt got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 59 played minutes Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС got a freekick which was hit by Andréas Holmstedt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nauzet Cuadros in the 65th minute of play forced Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goalkeeper Sandro Ormea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nauzet Cuadros took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandro Ormea. Sandro Ormea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС made a substitution. Sven-Ove Söderström replaced Thomas Tengelin. Sandro Ormea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Duarte in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Magne Näfver hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Arne Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Nyman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureo Polloni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaspar Arrué lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 81st minute, one of U.C.MILÁN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U.C.MILÁN. 86 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's goalkeeper Aureo Polloni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Ove Söderström. With a little luck, U.C.MILÁN's Aureo Polloni got control of the ball when Sven-Ove Söderström tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredrik Hermansson in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureo Polloni saved U.C.MILÁN from getting behind. In the 95th minute Nauzet Cuadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Ormea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martino Antonucci in the 97th minute of play forced Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goalkeeper Sandro Ormea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
