After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Primitivo Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vahap Timuroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hector Covarrubias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vahap Timuroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by aYaNcIkSpOr's Karahan Mutluer. But to his dismay, Karahan Mutluer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Karahan Mutluer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Vahap Timuroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karahan Mutluer's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When aYaNcIkSpOr's Karahan Mutluer in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karahan Mutluer in the 32nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hector Covarrubias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vahap Timuroz. That made the score 1-2 in the 36 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Ferman Haspolatlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Hector Covarrubias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Karahan Mutluer took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Sørloth might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexander Sørloth ran back to his position shaking his head. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vahap Timuroz having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Jaime Pardo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and aYaNcIkSpOr's Vahap Timuroz didn't even have to move. Karahan Mutluer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pardo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vahap Timuroz saved aYaNcIkSpOr from getting behind. Xavier Zoido's late challenge caught a aYaNcIkSpOr's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavier Zoido helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Zoido to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, aYaNcIkSpOr's Karahan Mutluer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them.
