The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Paolo Azuela in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tercero Imperiale in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Azuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tercero Imperiale in the 19th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Paolo Azuela made a huge save. USA's Edward Mcdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paolo Azuela saved JELINEBERG from getting behind. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, JELINEBERG's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Paolo Azuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
