C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Almkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giorgio March showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 6th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Saul Roman sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio March saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Giorgio March managed to reach the ball for a save. 14 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saul Roman. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgio March breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's goalkeeper Giorgio March, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute of the match Peru got a corner. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. 22 minutes into the game, Christian Almkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Christian Almkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Giorgio March played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 25th minute of play. Valeriu Oneț hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Milagros Fraga made a precise shot to the right of Giorgio March. In the 66thth minute of the game Christian Almkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alonso Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giorgio March read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giorgio March saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07:s goal. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Giorgio March made a huge save. Giorgio March made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgio March came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peru made a substitution.
