Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Abraham Alguacil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Washington Carneiro. The goal made the score 1-0. After 5 minutes of play, Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's Ademir Costa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ademir Costa scored 1-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute, Walmir Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 22nd minute Ademir Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Varela in the 27th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes in the game, Ademir Costa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Costa in the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Panama booed when Palmitos Futebol Clube SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Carneiro having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Panama's Alex Cambeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Washington Carneiro. Washington Carneiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Costa in the 46th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ademir Costa went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The wind increased when Ademir Costa made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's Ademir Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 61st minute. Walmir Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Washington Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidoro Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Washington Carneiro having to make a save. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's goalkeeper Washington Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
