Pagos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Maximiliano Escribano scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Campens, making the score, 1-2. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a Pagos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Pagos FC's Mircea Teodor got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Nuralp Akbal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The audience was convinced that Nuralp Akbal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christos Bartzokas in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Augusto Novaes made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Christos Bartzokas. In the 92nd minute, Bruno Beldad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pagos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
