In the 12th minute of the game Fridun Schwemer made a throw-in which Hugo Mourinho played forward. With a little luck, Benfica de Penafirme's Silvano Fragoso got control of the ball when Facundo Cadaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. Facundo Cadaval made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 19thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Silvano Fragoso would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Nuxila in the 21st minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Nuxila in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Fridun Schwemer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Benfica de Penafirme were awarded a corner. Charles Arruda went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fridun Schwemer in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Benfica de Penafirme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fridun Schwemer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Nuxila in the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raúl Cruz made a kick off. Benfica de Penafirme's Silvano Fragoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Silvano Fragoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvano Fragoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Silvano Fragoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Benfica de Penafirme's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Silvano Fragoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Charles Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benfica de Penafirme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Cruz in the 76th minute of play. Silvano Fragoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvano Fragoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Silvano Fragoso came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Benfica de Penafirme's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Fragoso came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Nuno Ponte tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Ponte. After 84 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. In the 85th minute, Fridun Schwemer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 3-1. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Fridun Schwemer with Hugo Mourinho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Silvano Fragoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Benfica de Penafirme players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mexico.
