Dani Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Nilmar Marinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Day. Marco Day yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Honorio Cerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Dani Hernández was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Dani Hernández made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Cerra in the 82nd minute of play. Sam Campbell scored 3-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dani Hernández, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Bradley to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Mannuel Ser came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Chivos de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Botinos. When the final whistle sounded USA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chivos de Punto Fijo.
