The long shot by Lawrence Dobson in the 11th minute really tested Dante Lacasa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 齐旭竞 in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Sven Günther was left in no man's land by his defense there! 齐旭竞 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Lorenzo Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sven Günther quite easily take care of the ball. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after FC KAKAROTTO DYNÓW's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sven Günther in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 85th minute 齐旭竞 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 91 minutes into the match, FC KAKAROTTO DYNÓW's goalkeeper Sven Günther had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
