Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Algarrobo's Diego Armando Lamb started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Marchetti in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Ado. Algarrobo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Casaus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 86th minute. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Nadal came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Algarrobo were awarded a corner. Juan Ignacio Vera went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Chile's goalie and right to Edmundo Cañas. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Chile's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jimeno Carrera went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
