Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play forced Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kléber Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kléber Salles came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléber Salles was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Laércio Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 11th minute. Laércio Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Laércio Loureiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Laércio Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de São Paulo's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inter de São Paulo's Kléber Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes Inter de São Paulo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 30th minute. Kléber Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Kléber Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. After 46 minutes Inter de São Paulo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Laércio Loureiro took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesinha Amorim during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Cesinha Amorim hit a great ball. Falcão de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kléber Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 81st minute, Inter de São Paulo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Kléber Salles however easily saved by the left post. In the 84th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Inter de São Paulo made a substitution. Gerson Coelho replaced Laércio Loureiro. The Inter de São Paulo fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Inter de São Paulo's Pedro Donatello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kléber Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Inter de São Paulo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Antonio Arias heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
