Golo Cabezudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in BANDOLEIROS osasco's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Pilgren came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Pilgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luz Tejedor's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Alonso Berganza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karl Pilgren quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Alonso Berganza put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Karl Pilgren. Karl Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, BANDOLEIROS osasco's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Kleber Chalas in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Joaquin Prats. Billy Sandström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Sandström made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Kleber Chalas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Miromir Hajto was substituted for Beto Toledo. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Peter Paul Crouch was substituted for Billy Sandström. A sloppy throw-in by Milagros Fraga in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by BANDOLEIROS osasco's Benedito Valentim. 61 minutes into the match, BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Karl Pilgren made a huge save. In the 67th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, BANDOLEIROS osasco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleber Chalas to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes BANDOLEIROS osasco got a freekick which was hit by Kleber Chalas. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Karl Pilgren made a huge save. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save BANDOLEIROS osasco from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the BANDOLEIROS osasco defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Pilgren. The BANDOLEIROS osasco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Pilgren should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 93rd minute, Antonio Tenorio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl Pilgren. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 96th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes BANDOLEIROS osasco's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Mina who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Alonso Berganza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren did a great save. Peru played a much better game than BANDOLEIROS osasco and deserved their victory. The BANDOLEIROS osasco players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
