Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Manchester United FC's Manfred Rudqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manfred Rudqvist took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Manfred Rudqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfred Rudqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Martini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 38 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 42ndth minute of the game Manfred Rudqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agnaldo Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Manfred Rudqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joachim De Jonghe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Freek Tamminga hit a great ball. After 59 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Martini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Martini having to make a save. In the 84th minute, Simão de Toledo fired a really elegant long shot, but Jonathan Ferrant threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Bruno Martini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Ľubomír Timčo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ľubomír Timčo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Manchester United FC's Simão de Toledo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Manchester United FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
