Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-19 in the 79th playminute. 82 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices lined in a short shot 0-20 behind a frustrated Alejandro Cugat. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-22. After having played for 96 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
