Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s 刘飞翔. But to his dismay, 刘飞翔 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 85th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Romero. Carlos Romero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
