Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. Faustão Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Bueno came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Asilo do Teco's Colon Mera. In the 19th minute Asilo do Teco were awarded a corner. Altan Miro went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Asilo do Teco getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Franz Beckenbauer hit a great ball. Altan Miro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colon Mera hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Altan Miro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 32nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute. Faustão Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Luca Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Faustão Cosme quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gilberto Bueno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Faustão Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Bueno came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustão Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Gilberto Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Altan Miro might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Altan Miro ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Faustão Cosme in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Gilberto Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Asilo do Teco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 76th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Faustão Cosme. Faustão Cosme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Asilo do Teco's goalie prevented a goal. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Faustão Cosme could save by the left post. A collision led to Asilo do Teco getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Zeca Damião hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Asilo do Teco's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Cosme came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Asilo do Teco's Olavo Oliveira got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faustão Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Mexico played a much better game than Asilo do Teco and deserved their victory. The Asilo do Teco players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
