Ertan Duman started the match with the kick off. Gottfrid Hedström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Ertan Duman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Rolando Noboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ertan Duman in the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ertan Duman in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Gottfrid Hedström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Emmanuel Reyes got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Milagros Fraga. Gottfrid Hedström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Aiakos Vardakas made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Gottfrid Hedström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ made a substitution. Besim Vecdet replaced Ertan Duman. In the 59th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Gottfrid Hedström in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
