With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Laureano Beliran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arne Bronco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Bronco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Beliran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edward Engström having to make a save. Arman von Liechtenstein charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arman von Liechtenstein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Arman von Liechtenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Laureano Beliran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laureano Beliran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Arne Bronco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play forced Joxa mé trasan's goalkeeper Edward Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Bronco in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Joxa mé trasan were awarded a corner. Kevin Hellström went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Kevin Hellström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute of the match, Laureano Beliran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Beliran got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Beliran to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Joxa mé trasan's Edward Engström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Joxa mé trasan from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Arne Bronco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joxa mé trasan's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Bronco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Edward Engström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laureano Beliran went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Joxa mé trasan's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Engström came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edward Engström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joxa mé trasan's Edward Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Bronco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
