Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Achille Di Crescenzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herta Budino's supporters rose to their feet, but Achille Di Crescenzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Harry Potter made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. Fortunato Sangermano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Fortunato Sangermano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play. Fortunato Sangermano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Pedro Velasco's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Peru booed when Herta Budino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Kleanthis Zoumakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Kleanthis Zoumakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Sangermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Luz Tejedor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Rinaldi in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute of the game Emmanuel Reyes made a throw-in which Milagros Fraga played forward. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. Fortunato Sangermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of the match. Fortunato Sangermano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 70th match minute, Herta Budino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleanthis Zoumakis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Peru booed when Herta Budino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kleanthis Zoumakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fortunato Sangermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76thth minute of the game Davide Rinaldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Gallo in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunato Sangermano saved Herta Budino from getting behind. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Furtado in the 88th minute of the match. Fortunato Sangermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of the match. Rafael Gallo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Furtado in the 95th minute of play. Peru walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
