Uwe Birmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 4 minutes into the match, Nuralp Akbal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuralp Akbal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ionel Mirea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Uwe Birmes had to leave the field with a concussion. Pagos FC made a substitution. Christos Bartzokas replaced Uwe Birmes. After 13 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christos Bartzokas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Nuralp Akbal took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Nuralp Akbal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Pagos FC's Nuralp Akbal in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Christos Bartzokas made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuralp Akbal was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pagos FC's Domingo Chago. But to his dismay, Domingo Chago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. The Pagos FC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Pagos FC's Nuralp Akbal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Domingo Chago scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 0-10. After 63 minutes, Nuralp Akbal made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pagos FC made a substitution. Francisco Montae replaced Ionel Mirea. Christos Bartzokas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Nuralp Akbal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christos Bartzokas went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. Pagos FC made a substitution. Jason Statham replaced Alexandros Komninos. 76 minutes into the match, Domingo Chago notched a goal, 0-13, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Pagos FC's Domingo Chago dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-14. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christos Bartzokas got free with Benito Sanz in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Christos Bartzokas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christos Bartzokas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15. After 91 played minutes Christos Bartzokas rounded Costa Rica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-17. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christos Bartzokas in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 98thth minute of the game Christos Bartzokas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pagos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
