Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Maddox in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7thth minute of the game Arthur Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mirolyub Lyatov kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Sousa in the 20th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Maddox in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arthur Sousa went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Arthur Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 41 minutes, Arthur Sousa made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tallahassee Vikings were winning 2-3.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 50th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Sousa in the 54th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Laurențiu Botea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blaine Thorne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tallahassee Vikings's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaine Thorne came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Thorne having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tallahassee Vikings's Laurențiu Botea got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Axel Tasis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Blaine Thorne. Tallahassee Vikings's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Arthur Sousa sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Tallahassee Vikings's Archie Maddox slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-7 after 98 minutes of play. Tallahassee Vikings played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
