Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 4 minutes of play, Roneros F.C.'s Alejandro Espina made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Ortiz Apellaniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roneros F.C.'s Ricardo Ceberiche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejandro Espina got free with Rolando Noboa in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Ceberiche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Ortiz Apellaniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play forced Roneros F.C.'s goalkeeper Ricardo Ceberiche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It could just as well have been a goal. Cordero Aberasturi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Ceberiche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Roneros F.C. made a substitution. Witomir Jestrimski replaced Alejandro Espina. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witomir Jestrimski in the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Ceberiche saved Roneros F.C. from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Witomir Jestrimski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Ceberiche made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Joaquin Prats sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ortiz Apellaniz came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Witomir Jestrimski came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roneros F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
