Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Fajteri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
