The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertil Lundberg in the 15th minute. In the 23rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Lundberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Abrahamsson having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, PP Plessydask was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yakut Deveci to maneuver through the defense. Jan Abrahamsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 72nd minute. Jan Abrahamsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
