Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Enrique Cristofor got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Boni got free with Julio Vera in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 7 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonides Galtero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Ieltxu. Loco Cabezon's Leonides Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. Leonides Galtero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Loco Cabezon's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Leonides Galtero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Loco Cabezon's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Galtero came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Anastasio Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Modesto Boni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leonides Galtero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Loco Cabezon's Leonides Galtero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Loco Cabezon from getting a goal against them. 1-2 became the score in the 54th minute when Rogelio Abajas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Esteve Perico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Boni came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Galtero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Leonides Galtero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loco Cabezon made a substitution. Albano Alvarez replaced Modesto Boni. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Rogelio Abajas sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Abajas in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Galtero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
