Tudur Fitriansyah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Tudur Fitriansyah might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tudur Fitriansyah ran back to his position shaking his head. Casimiro Ieltxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes SuperChango got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Puch. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through SuperChango's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Branco. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudur Fitriansyah in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Luiz Fernando Branco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Juan Sebastián Puig got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luiz Fernando Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SuperChango's Luiz Fernando Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save SuperChango from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Fernando Branco came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 65th minute. SuperChango's Luiz Fernando Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save SuperChango from getting a goal against them. Juan Sebastián Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Branco made a huge save. Tudur Fitriansyah scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The SuperChango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Branco should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudur Fitriansyah in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, SuperChango's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudur Fitriansyah in the 89th minute of play. Tudur Fitriansyah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
