In the 20th minute, Stanley Wallace reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cayetano Gomesano. The goal made the score 1-0. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Loramendi in the 41st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rocco Owen during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 46 minutes into the match, La Guaina FC's goalkeeper Cayetano Gomesano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanley Wallace. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Davies made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Troy Kennedy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cayetano Gomesano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanley Wallace, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes, Roberto Gelacio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Guaina FC and the Curacao players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to La Guaina FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Roberto Gelacio hit a great ball. When Tadeo Mattin fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Guaina FC's protests and gave Tadeo Mattin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Curacao booed when La Guaina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Mattin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Gomesano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Troy Kennedy in the 74th minute of the match. Troy Kennedy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Gomesano having to interfere. A collision led to La Guaina FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vinicio Vachon hit a great ball. Cayetano Gomesano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Graham in the 84th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes La Guaina FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Mattin. In the 94th minute Rocco Owen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Gomesano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Davies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Gomesano having to interfere. Curacao's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
